Anyone else here that has grown up in poverty?

Growing up poor has made me humble with simple tastes and i am unable to comprehend luxury.

I feel much the same. I was never quite that poor but I grew up in a maisonette riddled with damp on a council estate so that should give you some idea.

It is quite interesting to grow up in a 'rich' country but live the life of someone from the third world. Get the worst of both worlds i suppose.
