It was for me, since I'd dropped out of college for the second, and final, time in 2006 and 2007 was when I got a shitty wagecuck job and formally gave up on my life. Was a pretty good vintage for anime, though.

No. It's a meme Trump supporters spread. If you want to see how we're doing economically basically 2007-2009 was a steady decline. 2010 broke even. End of 2011 started bouncing back. 2012-2015 everything got better. Employment, healthcare, GDP, etc. 2016 - now things are starting to decrease again.

Overall though we're in a better position than we were in 2007. Despite what you see on the Internet or news.

All you need to do is check the stock market and look at a few statistics.
