Anyone here ever try remaining friends with a girl after dating and breaking up? What was the experience like? Is it beta-tier?
asking for a friend

It works if you can get over the resentment from the breakup. I doubt you'll be besties, but you can at least be on good terms
Depend do you want to be her real friend or are you just hoping tat maybe things might happen? I mean is your friend?

fucking normies
Depends...are you the type of guy who keeps playing with pet after it died?
The only way it can work is if there never were any feelings from either side.

In my case, I would still want to date her if she was interested, but being friends would honestly be fine with me. I liked just hanging out with her without any romance, just smoking and talking about music or school

never even had a gf and haven't spoken to anyone who wasn't forced to speak to me in over a year, try asking someplace else

Depends how serious the relationship was. I'm more likely to break it off completely with someone I invested a lot of time with rather than someone I went on one or two dates with. You can't really go from having a girl lick your butthole (don't judge me) to just being a friend.

If you two are still friends, either:
1. Both are still in love
2. Both never loved in first place
Tried, failed spectacularly. We have absolutely zero contact now
"you won't lose me as a friend I promise, that's something I'll never let happen" she said when she rejected me a month before changing her mind and dating me.
Where are you now, friend? Where the fuck are you now

I cannot contribute but I do really like Waxahatchee's music.

man, I feel ya. That really sucks. I mean I've really tried. She didn't even bother. How can they rest in their sleep after breaking such a promise to a friend in need?
