Right a lot of the time people ghost not because they're cowards, not because they're shy, not because they don't want to disappoint you.
But because they don't want to deal with you.
At first they're lonely, haven't talked to someone for ages, something makes them reach out to strangers on the internet for companionship.
When they find someone they're somewhat interested in they'll exaggerate how much they like you, they'll lie about liking what you like.
They'll act all kind, cute, tough, whatever it is you want and be the perfect stranger fit just for you.
But then as time goes on over the course of hours, days, weeks they lose the will to continue the charade. It becomes a chore. They give up and dissapear.
Sometimes they get paranoid about you realizing they're lying, maybe they do really like you but now that everything is based off of lies they don't want to continue.
They turn the freindship, relationship, companionship, whatever the hell you want to call it into a job, a chore.
Then they quit.
