What I'm looking for isn't an image, so much as a functional

This might be a somewhat extreme option, but if you know the website where the content is located (and you want to use Google search to scour it for exactly what you want) you can use DownThemAll. Basically put the entire website onto your hard drive, and then use Windows search to find the content. If you have it in a folder that is indexed it will search anything inside of it.

If you mean to use Google to find new sites and new sources of porn... You'll just have to hunt around and ask people.

I actually tried that, the problem is that (so far as I can tell) DownThemAll doesn't have an option for downloading multiple tiers of webpages. You can trigger it, and it will scoure all of the links on that page and save the HTMLs hiding behind them, but you can't ask it to scour the links on those new pages. I'd need something like that, but that can scan multiple layers down, effectively saving the entire hierarchy of the webpage. It is great if you find a page that says "here are all of the relevant posts for the past 10 years on one giant page." But that rarely happens...

Thanks for the suggestion, but it actually has less results than google does, lol. My go-to-test is "unending be" (or site:www.bearchive.com) with a random kink like catgirls. U-BE is a choose your own adventure game with tons of erotic story paths. It's a quick and easy way of seeing how prudish google is becoming over time. I know for a fact there's tons of catgirls story threads and werewolves and ranma 1/2 smut. But whatever I search, google only shows me two pages worth of results. Your search engine gave me... 6 links. About half a page.

I seriously think that google has pushed aside all other competitor in the search engine market. Those alternatives that do exist are all really half-assed because they know they can't compete. But the problem is, google is getting worse with time! Not better.

I have a vague recollection of a search engine called "Booble" back in the day. It sucked at the time, but if Google isn't going to cut it then it might be worth a shot. Aside from that, the usual explicit material workaround for Google is Bing. Seems someone in MS noticed the changes in Google, and quietly suggested that Bing should do the opposite. It'll probably still be setting some massive shitload of tracking cookies, though, so be sure to take whatever usual precautions.
