idk about VK but there are scripts that linkk to the direct JPEG from galleries on hundreds of sites

now i do know of a neat trick, firefox extensions:
link ninja (mass open links)
Bazzacuda (saves direct images in tabs)
ShowTheImage (shows largest image or by pattern, optionally in all tabs to the Right)

you just click several thumbs, or drag linkninja square across the screen, wait for tabs to load 100%, right click ShowTheImage button, and click bazzacuda, all images will go to your selected folder, repeat
