You won't get a better guide than this desu. These are the exact steps needed for a great shop.

One important thing I would add for a last step is pay attention to the textures of the two images. Since they are taken with different cameras, they will have different levels of noise and blur.

Trying to upgrade a bad quality picture to match a good quality one almost never works, which is why you should choose to downgrade the better picture to match the worse one.

I usually do this downgrade by simply resizing the picture to be smaller and then resizing it back up. If you want it to match even better you can add noise or sharpen the picture and then blur it back down until you have the result you were looking for.

If it was this girl with this donor, i couldnt get her face to match right. it wound up looking like she had 2 chins or the light from one of the pictures would be glaring or little things like that. i still suck at the super detail, but ill take another look at it.

Select the face, use the selective color tool,the brightness tool, the color balance tool and the hue/saturation tool to adjust the color of the face to the body color. You can also use the curves additionally. You achieve the biggest effect with the red color channel and the grey colors (selective color tool).
If you select the face and click on the selective color tool, photoshop creates a mask. You can copy the mask holding the alt key to apply the effects on your selection (face) when using the other correction tools. Play with the correction tools for the best result (needs experience and a good monitor helps).
