Sauce please!?
P.S.
i dont get why having just a whole big dispersive board for generic requests, which means u have little chance to satisfy that request, every board must be able to handle requests as u may need info in a specific category, i mean, am i wrong?
sorry i do not mean to spam or anything, im just tryin to understand

I don't have your source, so I'll bump with the answer to your question.

The focus is not on satisfying the requests of a few, it's on preserving board quality for the many. You don't realize you're being selfish.

/a/ wants to talk about anime, not handle recommendation requests from noobs who won't lurk. /r/ was created as a place to send those noobs, where they could get help from people who wanted to help them, away from the people who want to beat them to death with farm implements.

This is wise. If you look at /gif/, every fourth post or so is asking for source. And often it's given in-thread, but it gets annoying really fast. If the guy posting knew, it would be in the filename. The guy asking is basically asking everyone else to stop discussing things and help him.

Now, on /gif/, there really isn't much actual discussion to interrupt. But on most boards there would be, and people often would not take it kindly. So a post asking "source?" would get a dozen replies of "lurk more" or "kill yourself" or "don't you recognize your own mother?". Meanwhile, those who had source would not give it, some to not spoonfeed, others because they didn't wish to further derail the thread (because their reply would invite dozens more replies of abuse upon him).

It's not that /a/ is full of assholes per se. The way a community is preserved is that new people must be made to adapt themselves to it, rather than the community to the newcomers. That's why /a/ has degraded least of all the popular boards due to the increased public awareness of the site and consequent increased traffic. They're keeping their threshold artificially high. Contrast /tv/, which has a very low threshold.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
