It could be a lot of things, I've had that happen on different notebooks and it was a HDD problem on one and a cooling problem in the other.

I do not think you have told us enough information.

Maybe it's the fan, that doesn't work well, so your computer turns off because it reaches a too high temperature. Then you should check the fan out and maybe change that plaster, that kind of adhesive. I do not know its name in English, I call it "termal plaster".

If that's not the problem (btw, you should realize WHEN does it happen exactly, if you're playing games when it shuts down, it's probably what I have told ya)

Remember to do some copies of all your files.

In other order of things, check the AC, the battery, all plugs, electric stuff, you know? Maybe you have some cable fucked up.
