You head over the the old man, who is bleeding and check for a pulse. He's alive but not conscious, probably either due to hitting his head on the chair or the injuries he has already sustained, and figure it wouldn't hurt to at least check out what he has on his person.

As you are about to finish, you hear a loud bang and metal bending with a increase of light behind you and turn to see a claw sticking through the door. You immediately turn back to pushing the old guy through but in a panicked manner.

You escape down the vent and enter a new room.You pick up the candle as a light source while and proceed to prop the old guy up against the wall. he's stopped bleeding but hasn't woken up yet.
For some reason, this room is not as dark as other rooms despite the absence of light. You can clearly see the silhouette of two figures, one propped up against the wall while the other lays on it's side, and smell a stench of oil. You can also see a door on the wall right to you that is emitting light, indicating that room's light is on. you here voices on the other side but are to far away to make out what they are saying.
