You roll down the hill and stumble upon a few caterpillars. You can hear faint Yuing noises so other Yukkuri may be near by. As you go for the munch-munch you finally see the source of the Yuing noise.

It's a Patchouli who's also going for the food. Patchouli are smarter Yukkuri but due to its poor body you'll probably have the advantage if you go for the munch-munch.

You couldn't carry any extra munch-munch home because you had to help Patchouli up the hill due to her soft body. Patchouli was able to carry some by cradling it in her long braids.

Patchouli hops on ahead happily to the hole known as your Easy Place. However, when you get there you find Patchouli staring at the hole puffing her small little face up at something.

And then you see it.

A particularly naughty young KoReimu is chowing down mindlessly in your easy place. To its right you spot its two sisters and its mother Reimu puffing back at Patchouli.

As you see the Reimu begin to charge at Patchouli rage fills every bit of bean paste in your paste core.

You smack the disgusting KoReimu from before hoping to distract its putrid parent. In fact you smacked it so hard now you've got its bean paste on your hair!

Immediately reacting to Reimu's shouting like if you never just killed a koyukkuri you get ready to whip it next.

Patchouli is being rammed at by the other two Kos. It seems you must've killed the little sister since these ones are a tad bit bigger than the last one. Normally a ko ramming an adult yukkuri would be laughable at best, but Patchouli are quite fragile. You precede to head right over to Patchouli's aid.

Shortly after you hopped to Patchouli there were two less KoReimus in the world.

>"YUNYAAAAAAAAAH! HOW COULD YOU DO DIS TO BEAUTIFUL DEIBU! I'LL MAKE SHITTY MARISA DROP DEAD EASY!"
Reimu charges at you ready to strike with her braids but even if she managed to hit you a bit you strike back harder. Your braid lands a bow hard enough to knock off her little red bow.

But then you saw a strange yukkuri that you don't even recognize.
"What are you doing here? It's dangerous right now, ze!"
The yukkuri charged at you furiously. This was sounding familiar.
"DROP DEAD EASY SHITTY MARISA"
You don't understand what's going on. You were fighting a Reimu that invaded your home but then you knocked off its bow and then this strange yukkuri wants you dead and-

>"MUKYUUUUN! MARISA IT'S REIBU!"

Patchouli who thankfully isn't quite that injured manages to make out the truth. Being a yukkuri you cannot normally recognize one of your own without an accessory. Not even if they're your own family! Patchouli managed to piece it together in time for you to react.

There were three less KoReimus, and now there's one less adult Reimu.

Patchouli could not help but stare in awe at the way you managed to fend off the shitheads relentlessly. However, you're hurt as well. More than her, actually.

Poor Patchy couldn't help but vomit a bit for her cream filling at the sight of all the bean paste in the nest.
>"Sorry if I scared you, ze. Take it easy and sleep alright."

Well, at least you WANT to go to sleep. You're down on munch-munch and have one hell of a cleanup job. But hey, you can tell a yukkuri without an accessory now after that near-death experience.

While Patchouli take it easy in her sleep you get ready to do some major cleanup duty. You start scraping the bean paste off the floor of your nest and bury it somewhere nearby. You'd clean it properly, but you're too hurt to get to Mister River, and there'd be hell to pay if you fell in by accident like this.

Though you start the job unfortunately between your injuries and your lack of sleep you can't help but join Patchouli in sleeping again.

Over the course of the next few days you continue the cleanup. Patchouli even helped once her injuries were healed, and you both were able to clean your hair at Mister River now!

You wake up on a new morning satisfied with the cleanup but you're greeted by the sound of dripping rain coming from the entrance. As long as the rain doesn't flood the place you guys will be fine but it looks like you're basically boarded in until the rain stops.

>"Mister Rain is coming down pretty hard. Patchy is lucky to have met Marisa."
>"Same, Patchy."
>"Mukyuuuu. Sometimes I miss my old easy place. Marisa's is nice but Patchouli thinks it could be better."
>"Ehhhhh!? Isn't Marisa's easy place easy enough?"
>"Marisa has a really easy nest, but Patchouli's old easy place had really easy rocks I could sleep on. They were so smooth and round like a slightly bigger Mister Treasure."

So Patchouli once had a house with plenty of rocks in it. Odd considering how Patchouli are rather weak, but it could have perhaps been a parent who made it. You wonder how your easy place could benefit from having round stones to sleep on. Maybe one could go by the entrance and block out Mister Rain? Who knows?

Since Mister Rain seems to be taking his time why not talk to Patchouli? Anything on your mind?

The very next day you wonder how to protect Patchouli from more potential shitheads. Who knows if the Reimu from before was related to what happened to Patchouli.

You decide finding the Youmu may be a good idea after all. You head out of the nest and decide to search the forest. While hopping and rolling around you notice Patchouli was following you the whole way.

You can continue looking for Youmu now. While you continue forward you examine the Mister Stick you found. It's long and sharp just like you had hoped for. You hold it in your braid to use as a weapon.

Well this is shocking. To you, at least. As far as you knew your mouth was for munch-munch and lick-lick. Not for a weapon! As you walk holding the Mister Stick you see a really easy pile of leaves.

However as you and Patchouli go on the leaves something feels wrong. For a moment it-

You can clearly see Patchouli shedding sugary tears. It seems the situation the two of you are in really got to her.

Well, since you're both stuck together with the only hope of getting out alive being Eirin's judgment at some point in the future the question is, what now, ze?

Even if the fall, which was sizable for a yukkuri, hurt you it's not over. You refuse to give and start trying to dig out with Mister Stick. As you try to dig you notice Patchouli hopping over to help. You think about telling her to take it easy but you need all the help you can get.

You dig up as much as you can but you can't get high enough to make it.

While you still try you feel something trying to carry you. And then it rams you as hard as it can! With this boost you grab as hard as you can onto the edge of the hole. You barely pull yourself up but when you look back in the trap you see how you made it up.

>"MUKYUUUU!! Don't worry about me Marisa! Tage it eajy, ok!"

Patchouli rammed you as hard as her weak little body could to give you that last boost you needed. You manage to barely grab Mister Stick but you don't know if you can save Patchy.

"Patchouli..."

So how are we gonna handle this one, ze?

You realize you're both in poor condition so trying to grab Patchouli was a terrible idea so you look around. Maybe a wider, duller Mister Stick was around. You find something kind of long and gray but as you go up to it.

Eirin sat there thinking over your desperate request.

Eirin turned around to pull out her own Mister Stick! Except it didn't look like your stabby Mister Stick. It was thicker and shorter.

Eirin hopped to the hole. She let her long gray braid down while it was holding the stick.

Since from a yukkuri perspective an Eirin's hair is titanically long it can extend down for a trap made for yukkuri easily!

Spend some time looking for the bowl or relax? You're not quite that hurt now so your injuries aren't much of a concern, but you wouldn't exactly want to get in a fight.
