This is it.
After months of studying in finest arts of the cullinary world, its finally time to show your worth to the king!

Your king, Heinrich the Crusader is inviting his brother-in-law Leopold the Tyrant for a feast.

And it has fallen to YOU chosen chefs to prepare a feast for them and their nobles.

Can you satisfy the good king and his tyranical brother?

You have all the resources in the kindom to make a legendary feast.
>>
Where are the two from and do they like local cuisine better than international? Or the other way around? This is important to know.
Also, where are we from and what kinds of ingredients can we aquire?
>>
>>204808
Heinrich and his people enjoy traditional central european cusine, pork, cattle, few vegetables, potatoes, beer, etc

Leopold spent his conquests in foregin lands and prefers more slavic-turkish cusine, kebabs, yeastless bread, strong coffee, and more exotic fruit
>>
>>204820
For team Heinrich we should make something heavily reliant on meat and such, I think. How about a shepherd's pie somewhere in this? It has all a man like him likes. Meat, Potatoes, Cheese... Served with a heavy dark beer and a stuffed roasted pig as the main course. Sprinkle a few vegetables here and there, more as a decoration than food, and you should be set.
For Leopold and his men, make turkish mocca and ayran to drink, also look if you can make an arabian stuffed camel. (Fill a camel with a sheep, the sheep with turkey, the turkey with chickens, the chickens with fish and the fish with boiled eggs). Add fresh fruit, flat bread and everything should go smoothly. If you're like, really rich, see if you can get a whole elephant and fill it with the aforementioned camels.
>>
>>204849
Should we combine all the foods? it wold look strange if there was a clear divide between the brothers

Allso, camels could take time to import, we currently got sheep, goat, cattle, pig, turkey, chicken and wild meat

We got a storage of coffee to serve too,

What about alcoholic drinks?

Foods so far:
Sheperd pies,
jugs of dark beer,
roast pig,
Arayn,
Mocca coffee,
arabian stuffed camel
>>
>>204866
Make it a huge feast with everything combined. Take every new food to the king and let him have the first bite (or give it to whoever he thinks deserves or appreciates it the most).
If we can't get the camels quick or cheap enough, a cow will do the same job.
If we got the apples and skills, add some cider to the drink variety. Also bring all of our best spirits to the table.
Make steaks from the strongest bulls you can find. What was strong in life will also give strength to whoever eats it.
>>
>>204866
If possible, we should serve:

>Beer
>Red wine (red wine with camel? That's right, right?)
>Spiced red wine
>White wine
>Mead
>Perry
>Brandy
>Cider brandy
>>
>>204899
Right so, we got the main course, what about dessert?

Allso that's a whole lotta meat and lacking side-dishes, get me some side-dishes

Foods so far:
Sheperd pies,
jugs of dark beer,
roast pig,
Arayn,
Mocca coffee,
arabian stuffed camel
bull steaks
Cider,
mead,
perry,
brandy
wine (much variety)
fruits
>>
>>204958
Let's make a salad of local lettuce, radishes, tomatoes, cucumber and apple slices, with some mint, vinegar and olive oil.

And a side-dish of smoked local freshwater trout and if possible salmon.
>>
>>204958
Soups. Lotsa Soups. Carrot, Peas, Turnips, whatever.
Also some rabbit and pheasant.
For dessert how about duck a l'orange? Everybody gets a live chick which is then killed by pouring boiling orange sauce over it. Metal as fuck, y'know?
Also cakes. Candied fruit. We don't know chocolate, right? If we do, anything with chocolate.
>>
How about a sweet Berry pie for dessert..

And a date tart for the brother
>>
>>204987
Let's also boil some crayfish with sorrel and serve them whole in their shells. If we have lemons then we should serve half-lemons with the dish, and with the fish. We should also serve salt.
>>
>>204958
We need that roast pig HONEY GLAZED STAT
>>
>>204996
>>204987
>>205006
>>205014
>>205017

Right, so we got

Appetiser: Multiple vegetable soups, smoked fish and bowls of vegetable salads with herbs and olive oil

Main course: Sheperd pie, roast pig(honey glaze), Arayn, Arabian stuffed camel, bull steak, flatbread, boiled crayfish with lemons, salt pots

Dessert: Cake, candied fruit, dipping chocolate, duck a l'orange

Drinks: Beer, Dark Beer, many wines, mead, ciders, spirits
>>
>>205019
Sounds Good
>>
>>204958
For dessert, seconding the berry pie suggestion. I also suggest we make a lot of small cupcakes made with different spices and ingredients, like raisins, fruit and pieces of honeycomb. We should also separately serve cream, round shortcake biscuits, fresh berries, sugar and honey. If we have mandarin oranges, supply them. This way, we provide ' add ons ' which the guests can add to their dishes.

We should put poison in everything

You know

For flavor
>>
>>205063
Maybe we should supply optional ice for their drinks. We should also consider serving some buttered bread with the vegetable soups.

Do nobles eat bread? Would they find it offensive if we served them bread? They would have to touch the bread with their hands, after all.
>>
So, now that the traitor got locked in the dungeon, are we ready to serve this feast?
>>
>>205087
Yea
>>
>>205087
First, make sure there are no shit lowbrow entertainment acts. You know, the ones with dwarfs.

We're only wanting background music.

Then we serve the feast.
>>
>>205094
>>205102

After the dwarves where fired and elves given hats to keep Leopold from going balistic, the feasting hall got cleaned up and set up with extra taspestries and blankets, the two chimneys set alight and herbs thrown into the fire for aroma the place is ready.

As we speak Heinrich is meeting Lopold, and will arrive shortly, the kitchen is a madhouse, as chefs and servants do their obejctives and assigments, the infernal heat of the fires and stoves giving everyone a good sauna experience,
if there's anything to change or add say it now, as the royality and nobilty can arrive at any moment
>>
>>205117
Get out a bottle of Cyrodilic brandy for yourself
>>
>>205117
Nothing to change.
>>
>>205118
>>205125
The servants who served the ice cooled drinks, and divered the soups and salads, along with the fish say that the nobles enjoyed the sight of the food, but Leopold had a remark, quote "Keeping it old fashioned, Heinrich?", but he did seem to enjoy the fish and beer

Allso we hired some northmen bards for the music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncH4MThVJBg

So far so good, lets wait to see what they think of the main dish
>>
>>205138
Im actually getting into this quest..
The singing sounds like Afrikaans
I can understand it
>>
>>205150
(Afrikaans is a dialect of a scandinavian language if im not wrong)

The main dish was better recieved, even Leopold got interested in the fancier drinks and the camel, while the nobles liked the pig roast the most, beer was restocked fast, bull steak was well recieved and crayfish got complimented by Heinrich

The dessert is coming up
>>
>>205164
Its kind of a mix of Dutch German and french
>>
>>205172
Now when the cakes hit the table, the chocolate, the duck, cupcakes and creme, biscuts, fruit and the addons, there's where the real compliments came up

Some nobles never even tasted things like they feasted on today, they celebrated the cheffs and invited them out at the end of the feast to be congratulated and rewarded with gold for an exelent service, even Leopold was satisfied
-----------------------------------------
And that's it for Cook Quest, what did you think?
>>
>>205199
I liked it. It was unusual in the sense that the players had a lot of freedom in their suggestions and all those suggestions added up to a finished product at the end. Thanks for running, even though you didn't have much to do. I had fun.
>>
>>205213
im glad you enjoyed it
>>
>>205228
It was really good. I've never seen something like this. In the best way. Keep up the good work.
>>
>>205199
I loved it
It is unique
Everyone loves food
