You decide to make Loli 1000 your starter. You throw your prototype ball at it and it is instantly caught, and the ball flies right back at you. Upon releasing it for battle, you notice something unfortunate...

Per the flaws of the prototype master ball, she has devolved into Loli 5 upon capture. She now has the strength of 5 men. Despite being exponentially weaker, it gives you a big hug for being its friend and is ready to defend you now.

She's ready to let herself at 'em and splat 'em, but is still outnumbered and outsized. Curvutanari and Joessassin lunge at her, and you yell out the first command to defend herself...

A huge yellow beam shoots out of her eyes. Unfortunately, she misses. Luckily, this scares the other two away and they run back to whence they came. You are quite happy with what feels like a victory, and you decide to start your adventure. You decide to either stock up on supplies or visit the Pokemon center, as that laser kinda tuckered her out.

Your mother gave you some spending money to buy what you need and already start filling up your basket. You look at your wallet...

You don't have a lot to spend. Also the 2/1$ pokeball/donuts weren't mix and match, and you only get a drink if you got the donuts, as the small text on the corner of the ad says, ending with "otherwise, what's the point?". Anyway, you now have:

As you step out, two blacksuited individuals run past you and rob the store. They appear unarmed, but the bigger guy is grabbing the clerk by the collar. He's about to punch him out, but as you approach them, a shiny strong creature is just standing a couple feet away. it's just standing there, doing it's thing. It sees you and is just about to run away for good. You...

You send it out along with Loli 5 so that they may be properly introduced. Atomigga generates a fried chicken leg from its hand and gives it to her and you as a token of friendship. It's not very good, it's too crunchy and tough and the meat inside isnt very tender. But now you'll save money on food, and it's stronger than it looks.

Anyway, after a small celebration, the attractive clerk is now bleeding on the floor from being punched too hard. This angers you as you confront the two crooks. They threaten you by sending out two of their own: A Crobat, and a Shiny Garchomp. Yes it's shiny, but you don't take notice or give a shit because these guys are serious.

You nervously send out your two guys for the attack

Upon calling out attacks, your creatures are instead distracted by the slurpee machine. Loli 5 starts drinking it from the tap, while Atomigga is intelligent enough to get a Big Gulp cup...but it's not the one to use for slurpees.

Anyway, Crobat Screeches at them, then Garchomp swoops in with Outrage.

But...

...they both dodge in time. The slurpee machine, however, has its defenses critically lowered and Garchomp smashes into it. Garchomp is now covered in Pepsi Cherry Vanilla and Pina Colada. It enjoys licking what's landed near its mouth but is rendered immobile.

Your creatures are angry because no more slurpees. They unleash a new combined attack at Crobat....

Loli 5 uses her Wah Beam alongside Atomigga's Green Scream at Crobat, sending it far into the sky as it does that shiny thing that things always do when theyre sent flying into the sky.

With both of their pokemon out of commission, one of the bad guys grumble about losing and bringing only one pokemon each, and both run away. While you attend to the clerk and call the authorities, you notice a card on the floor. The guys apparently dropped it, and you notice it reads:

"You've just been robbed by Team ____*!! Sayonara, suckers!" followed by their logo.

You remember their name and continue on with your journey. The day is still young after all.

You walk in the direction of Carrey's Gym. Upon entering the town, you pass by another 7-11. It's apparently been robbed as well, with the sight of police and leftover buckets thrown through the glass doors and windows.

Moving forward, and steps away from the gym, you see a battle in progress just outside the entrance. A generic trainer sends out his Ratatta, while the attending guard sends out his Aipom. it's a close battle, but the Ratatta is knocked out by a single Swift star.

"Sorry, kid." Says the guard. "You'll have to beat me to battle the gym leader."

The trainer sullenly withdraws his pokemon and leaves towards the pokemon center. At that moment, the guard walks toward the side of the building and turns his attention to his phone, possibly going on Yamaskbook or hanging around /qst/.

You're itching to fight the gym leader, and you impatiently head toward the gym door hoping the guard doesn't see you.
