The one on the right, or the newer brush style definitely looks cleaner and more detailed than the one on the left. It looks better to me, but maybe some prefer the charm of a crude or simple art style. I'm not sure, but I didn't expect the imp on the right to look like that.
Go for whichever one's easier, faster, or is your preference.
