Yet another ongoing /pol/ harassment campaign

/pol/ is currently engaging in an ongoing harassment campaign against public art venues and DIY spaces. They are doing this for the sole purpose of shitting on people whose ideology they disagree with by depriving them of these spaces, under the flimsiest pretense of 'fire safety'. Unsurprisingly, they don't actually care about fire safety unless the concept can be used to get local authorities to shut down these places. It is solely about social media salt mining, and they damn well know it.

These threads seriously violate global rules against raids/organized harassment, among plenty others.

>You will not post or request personal information ("dox")
Posting addresses, facebook names/pages, venue directories falls under this. Whether it's publically available or not doesn't matter, they're still posting info that is being used to single out targets to harass.

>or calls to invasion ("raids").
The entire OP of these threads are inciting people to do exactly this, detailing methodology to locate, scout out, and then report their targets to law enforcement.

Much like Pizzagate, /pol/ is being allowed to harass and intimidate business owners with impunity. Are you going to let them do the same thing right after you just purged the last raid they were hosting here? Or is it going to take yet another embarassing news story on national media before you actually do something?
>>

>>
>they do it for free

While /pol/ is garbage and should be deleted, the SS thing really doesn't fucking matter and you should stop trying to make people give a shit about it.

/pol/ is at its most harmful to the culture of 4chan when it spills over into other boards and proselytizes on social media, shitting on existing 4chan culture and attracting cancerous new users to 4chan that have no respect for the existinc community. It's at it's most harmful to the orgnization 4chan LLC when it engages in illegal activity or attempts to engineer IRL confrontations (which it doesn't do that much of).

The SS crap is neither. It's not one of /pol/'s social media harassment / advertising campaigns, or an inane jackoff conspiracy theory that's going to get people killed. As far as I can tell, it's successfully containing itself to /pol/. It's the kind of shit that /b/ might have done (and while people say this about a lot of /pol/ things, and are usually fuckwits lying through their teeth, it's not true in this case). Find some other hill to die on.
>>
It's going to cost people their homes, because a gang of bullies has decided that this is fun. You're right that this doesn't really warrant a delete-and-ban on the posts. Deleting /pol/ outright for this would be closer to acceptable: people who would do this for fun do not deserve even to live, but since this is not practical (or legal), at the very least we can take away their hugbox.

Not really. That's the nature of regulations, not nazi frog friends. When people say "nobody should live in such dangerous and deplorable conditions" the other side of the coin is that you have to remove them from such conditions.
>>
I think the most infuriating part of this is their attitude really.

They know full well what they're doing and why they're doing it. They know they do not and never had good intentions with this garbage at all. And yet, they continue to put on this absolutely irritating as fuck air of smug superiority because they've decided they have the 'moral high ground' when in reality the only reason they are doing any of this is taking a fat shit on liberals/progressives and their spaces, and mining the salt that arises from it. That's their only motivation and anyone with a lick of common sense and humanity can fucking see that right away. Everytime one of these fucking weasels makes a mocking comment about fire safety (and the tone is definitely mocking) I can feel my blood pressure start to spike. The retards participating in these threads are lower than trash subhumans and I wish nothing but eternal suffering and pain on them.

It's not new, unique to /pol/, or, for that matter, interesting.

So here's my question to you, OP.

Why have you not gone to IRC about this?

If you care so much, what makes you think complaining on /qa/ is going to accomplish anything?

If you have a problem, you should either contact the mods or the CIA.

Fireman here.

What they're doing is good and saves lives.

Our department has been flooded with calls for safety inspections after the Oakland fire.

The truth is there are so many violations in some of these places, that if you really cared about these people, you'd want them in performing in fire safe spaces.

Grow up kiddo, the real world won't indulge your unsafe behaviors.

as citizens, it is our duty to report illegal activity to the proper authorities, regardless of whom it may or may not hurt.

a fire code violation is a WAITING emergency ready to spring forth & hurt innocent people. would we not be even more strongly morally obligate to report such a thing to the authorities?

how could helping others & doing our duty as citizens be called a raid?
>>
>>883044
The intentions of the initial /diy/ threads likely did have nothing to do with safety, I'll give you that. However, as the whole movement has continued, and people have looked into the hazards many of these places contain, the zeitgeist of the threads has gone from being "lel, let's fuck with leftist safe spaces because we are nazis lel" to actually giving a crap about the safety of a good portion of our country's citizenry. Safe recreational venues should be entirely accepted. Considering the tragedy that occurred in Oakland, a backlash against unsafe, cost-cutting practices should be entirely acceptable to members of both the left and the right. No one deserves to die in a senseless tragedy due to lack of proper safety measure.

Does it even need to be said, or are we all on the same page that /pol/ are indeed SJWs?
>>
>>882957

At /pol/, we love our tamales FLAMING HOT, unlike our leftists. And even though we do hate many leftists, they are tax-payers too, and some of them are great people. We would prefer them to be safe this holiday season, so that we can all make our country great again, together. Some of them are being manipulated by organizations of impoverished people which promote personal stagnation/ moral degeneration, a culture of illegal drug use, and sexual abuse, which is causing them to stay in these unsafe places. It isn't just a matter of fire safety-- Young girls with futures are being exploited for sex and raped at some of these places. Surely /q/ isn't okay with that, and certainly we can't abide if these buildings are going to keep burning down with them inside, which they will.

Now that the first bodies have hit the floor, the party is over. It is time for the teachers to step in and say something before these kids get even more of themselves killed.

they may be using the "hurr hurr safety" thing as an excuse but at least there is some legitimacy in that as opposed to the SJWs who do the exact same thing because you said you wouldn't fuck a fat woman. if this was just another raid on some random blue haired instagram chick then that'd be something but if these places are actually getting shut down due to violations then that is arguably not a bad thing.

Pretty certain they're an organized group of about 10 odd people who met up on a chatroom somewhere trying to stoke this up.
The thread is too coordinated for a standard joke and has too few IPs. Someone is masterminding it.

It seems as if this is mostly a politically influenced attack targeted at antifascists so I'm going to guess Stormfront is behind this since the alt-right group is more concerned about memes then actual politics.
Fire safety makes for a good cover story because you can just dismiss whatever anyone says as attacking people's safety.

This is a popular debate technique and tool in censorship.
However, it is based on the logical falacy of appeal to emotion.

Wrong. I just wandered into the thread after if had been going for a few days and joined in. Many such cases!
>>
>>883513
It's entirely out of spite.

Look at posts like this >>>/pol/102983682

Purely sarcastic in regards to their safety.

All of their talk about safety is in a mocking sarcastic tone.

The original post that incited the raid was completely open about its intention being solely to shut down their hangouts purely for the lulz using the Ghost Ship fire as justification. No mention of public safety, just inciting /pol/ to help milk the lolcow and mine the salt, as usual.

Some genius decided to use the notion of 'fire safety' to try and grant themselves the illusion of taking some imagined moral high ground.
>>

The real reason that you're upset is because these guys are whipping your ass and you are completely powerless to even slow them down (let alone stop them).
>>

Yeah, shitting on community art spaces and places of free expression because of the people who use them, wow, what a fucking HERO. And don't pretend that's not the only reason you're even bothering to do it. You'd gladly let them just die all the same if you had no way to shit on them like you're doing now.
>>
>>883546
>wild goose chases
Again, a claim with no evidence.

We provide evidence of mistakes precisely because we don't want the fire marshal to waste his time and to FIX THE PROBLEM.
>>
>>883546
The authorities are more than happy to do their jobs when it comes to following leads that might result in the condemnation of potential death traps because they know it is going to cause them much less trouble than dealing with hundreds of lawsuits from the families of potential victims, just as I am more than happy to spend my free time saving lives, even if you immature spastics would literally prefer to risk dying in a fire than spending some money on getting your hovels up to code.

Those 36 people in Oakland would LITERALLY be alive if Ghostship had been shut down sooner. They never got the chance to grow up because of trash like you and we will not allow your kind to stand in the way of the sanctity of human life, because you think it is fashionable to live in your own filth.

Imagine a life where you have never been great at anything, never felt the urge to be great at anything, never felt that magnetic admiration to someone who was great at something, wanted to imitate and ultimately defeat him. Just nothing. Literally all you do in life is exist. Occupy space. pass the time. You're a chick.

You're bored, tweeting about your fucking hair and not even feeling any kind of happiness from it, just soothing your constant need to be bitter and cunty and petty toward other women. Every single thing you've done in the past year was mundane, shallow, and boring. You spent the last six hours reading kinda-interesting Reddit stories about people who made interesting Halloween hats for their kids or some stupid bullshit that you think is interesting and you may say is interesting but you're not really sure if it's really interesting. You're just fucking sitting there, gestating, fermenting, with a moist hole between your legs that guarantees you'll at least never have to get up and move around and work to support yourself.

And then you see men, over in some corner, having fun. You've never seen this before. What are they even doing? Instead of their consciousnesses merely sitting in their thick skull and revolving around itself, they are imbuing their conscious energy and intentionality into external objects, crafts, goals, projects. All the bitterness and cuntiness you feel nonstop seems to be absent, as they congratulate each other for being victorious, and happily learn from someone who defeated them. These creatures are truly content to be alive. They have found purpose in a purposeless universe.

And your gaze turns back on itself, on your self, and you realise you've never had that. You can never have it. You're just a stupid cunt.

So you get up, you walk over there, and you fucking ruin everything. Just ruin the whole fucking thing. The five seconds of attention you get will be worth destroying it. Because you're a woman.

How is this harassment? You're supposed to report dangerous locations.
>>
>>882472
>These threads seriously violate global rules against raids/organized harassment, among plenty others.

There is no raid happening. /pol/does not go out and raid anyone.

An organized harassment isn't happening. Keeping the neighbourhood and the individuals who live in these houses safe should be in your interest. It is also fully legit. You know laws apply to everyone.

>Much like Pizzagate, /pol/ is being allowed to harass and intimidate business owners with impunity.
Pizzagate is, for me, a total madeup story. Fire safety isn't. Business owners have to obey the same laws like everyone else. There is no exception.

>Posting addresses, facebook names/pages, venue directories falls under this.
Publicly available information isn't doxing. No individuals are targets.

>It is solely about social media salt mining, and they damn well know it.
Violating laws isn't our fault. You can prevent it with just fucking getting your places, that get used for public events, up to code.

Why don't you understand it is in your favour if everything is up to date? Hackerspaces, open workspaces are up to code and they are doing fine. Why do you think something should apply to others but not apply to you?

And after all it's not only not a raid but also wanted that such places get informed about unsafe conditions.
Don't you want to prevent such tragedies like in Oakland in the future?
You called your places safe spaces, and surprisingly they are not.

There was another ne that got taken down on the 6th Dec. or so. Way before a thread about it happened. But tere are thers that got closed down this week.

In fact we don't take credit for any closed spaces.
We just help. If some morons pretend it's because of /pol/ it's their fault.
We just do our part and if it's got an impact we are happy. If it does not, it's ok, too. No one would be angry if it wasn't /pol/.

Hivemind is the solution.

If you use a word, I'm going to answer based on what the word actually means, not by what you want it to mean. Supporting terrorism is not terrorism. You can argue to me that it's "basically terrorism," or that it's "morally equivalent to terrorism," but it isn't.

>>884381
Words have definitions, and those definitions matter. Verbally supporting terrorism is legal, and protected by the First Amendment. Terrorism isn't. That's not "exactly the same," it is in fact an important distinction to make.
>>
>>884372
You know what's funny?
Acting like Tumblr's social justice brigade, who claim to act in the best interest and safety of everyone like them as long as they agree with them, is entirely okay as long as you're doing it with people who agree with you under a similar pretense of "saving lives."
Even if it means disrupting, disturbing, shutting down and generally undermining people who disagree with you, and that's the part that makes it okay.

This sounds like the kind of thing that if Tumblr were doing to people whom /pol/ agreed with, /pol/ would be pissed off about actually. Does anybody want to honestly discuss that or am I going to have to wade through the usual rigmarole of "you're a fucking leftist SJW shill kike Jew?"

State-sponsored terorrism wasn't terrorism? State-sponsored terrorism is also illegal. The state sponsorship OF terorrism isn't illegal, unless a nation is a signatory to a treaty that makes it illegal.

>>884409
Material support for terorrism also isn't terrorism. In any case, /pol/ is neither materially supporting terrorism nor engaging in terrorism themselves, and therefore other than trying to score points in some sort of inane debate, nothing you're talking about has anything to do with the thread, and I suggest you get back on topic.

>Nobody recently is arguing about that statement and is instead pointing out how your definition and understanding of terrorism is certainly strange.
Terrorism is extralegal action, distinct from material support for terrorism or verbal advocacy of terrorism.

State-sponsored terrorism is, by the way, illegal.

>>884446
Terrorists engage in extra-legal action, or threats of extra-legal action, to achieve their ends. /pol/ does not; or, when they do, their posts are reported to 4chan and eventually the authorities.
>>
>>884460
All of that that you just said is still terrorism by proxy.
>>
>>884460
>/pol/ does not

>>
>>884462
Verbal support for terrorism is not "terrorism by proxy," not any more than people who post in favor of cop killers are "murderers by proxy." They're not.

The claim that /pol/ is "like terrorists" is not a useful one. It's about as meaningful as saying that /a/ is "like pedophiles." Maybe it's true, but they differ in extremely important ways that make the comparison meaningless.

These threads when some angry fag whines about /pol/ are the best. It's fucking hilarious.
/qa/ is only good for saltmining.
>>
Why the fuck do people think that deleting /pol/ will make the people who post there go away?
>>
>>884676
Because /pol/ is their echochamber and platform.
Take out their gathering place (much like they are doing to these folks right now) and they have no where to organize and leave. Then any stragglers are easily mopped up.

This is also why you rangeban every one who's been there when you take away their platform so you have less to deal with when they come back on their phones/VPN to shitpost impotently in retaliation.

I've dealt with cancerous populations on large forums before. Purging them is really that simple. They'll stop coming back to shitpost after you've taken away their platform when they realize it takes less effort to remove them than it did for them to come back and spam.
>>

Well there's a few problems with this. These kids are usually weirdos who also hate chad and stacy for being cisgendered heteronormative people.

And secondly, many of these kids are underage and partake in drugs which is why they can't get into these clubs in the first place. Because of this, the older ones who like to diddle the underage kids don't go to the legitimate clubs.
