Tired of the 404s? It's because they're pointing to the wrong domain Use this Greasemonkey script to fix it:
http://pastebin.com/T9tPKtsg
Tested it out with some images that weren't loading prior and it works great. Thanks OP
Seems to be working so far. Thanks, OP.

Thanks.

This is important.
Did you make the script?
>>756111
I did, yes. I'd never made one before so I thought I was terrible at it when it wasn't working, but then I realized it was because I was trying to replace 'src' instead of 'href' because I'm an idiot.

Your little script is gonna spread until this issue is fixed, so congrats I guess.

What was the problem? Did I miss it or did it only appear under certain conditions? Was it solved?
>>756565
Just checked the same thread I tested the script on and it seems to have been fixed on 4chan's end.
Basically, some threads were directing image links to is.4chan.org instead of i.4cdn.org, for some reason. So thumbnails would display fine, but you'd get a 404 for clicking the image, either inline or in a new tab.
It was probably a misconfigured PHP setting, or maybe a new system for rolling out ads that went awry.
In any case, looks like you guys can disable/uninstall the script now.

Random image links were pointing at is.4chan.org instead of the usual i.4cdn.org
They seem to have fixed around 2 hours after this thread was posted.
