Well, try it, I got banned for off-topic/troll on /pol/ for posting pasta after trying to reason 2-3 times before. Though it might be just 4chan fucking up thing. I manage to post before without getting the timer or the post tagged as mine, without doing anything on my part.

Have you tried contacting the mods in IRC? This seems like a technical issue and you can't really get much help with those here
