I've heard a bunch of people say this, but I'm not sure how entirely true it is; supposedly moot issued an order from up-high towards the end of his tenure here (Which fits in roughly with when CWC threads started becoming off-limits with no warning) because he'd seen just how batshit insane he was getting and didn't want it coming back to 4chan when he inevitably snapped.
