why is this so hard for the staff here to do? this will cut down shitposting further by providing another barrier for them to get past, normal posters will be completely unaffected by this.

People meme but if you want accounts just go to Reddit. Seriously. Shitposting is reduced by taking away internet points. Besides the userbase the real downside is the weird tree view and it encourages groupthink.
4chan is for anonymous posting, not a site where you register to post anonymously.

you register an account, that's it. every post you make is anonymous (unless you add a name to it like how it is right now). everything on this site stays the same but you are required to be logged in to post much like the 4chan pass, but free.
no point system, nothing. how did you guys failed to grasp that concept?
