So I was browsing the redhole, and I noticed something.
When you look at the top upvoted comments, they flow like a conversation, albiet maybe a pun chain, but an "optimized" conversation. However of course to achieve this optimization, the conversation consists of a lot of people kinda pretending to be eachother.
Fig "image". As we can see, PeterSR is proxying theAlfredoisdone to make a funny joke. Of course it would be funnier if PeterSR was actually him, which brings me to my point.
What are your thoughts on an anonymized reddit system? Where the format of comment reply chains is kept the same, and you can upvote posts, but there are no accounts. I feel this would fix a lot of the problems people have with the site, like karmawhoring.
I'm not sure how subreddit moderation would work in this situation however.

Seems pretty dumb to me, but I don't use the site so I guess I can't really judge very accurately.
I still can't wrap my head around the sheer numbers that that place has, though. That's 4.3k upvotes right? 4,300 freakin' people read that message and hit a button to do that. It blows my mind.

I took this from the biggest subreddit on the site, and people are extremely loose with upvotes.
who /uses reddit but never up votes or down votes and treats it like a classic web 1.0 forum/ here?
