Memes are dead. The word no longer even refers to ideas any more. Instead, any picture, of anything, is a meme, in and of itself. And look at the shit that is doing the rounds right now. People call a dog a "doggo" and suddenly they think they're funny. And other people congratulate them for their genius, in saying "doggo" instead of "dog". No more humour behind it; it's just a keyword that shows you are one of the special people who get le maymays.

4chan has always been contrarian, and memes are mainstream now. The next step is obvious: we must abandon le maymays.
