Open a brokerage account

Buy a diversified portfolio of blue chip stocks that pay dividends, for example AMZN (Amazon) and GOOG, and a smaller amount of more risky value stocks, for example AMD.

Then don't sell, wait years without selling. Do not attempt to be a trader.
