Is there a reason to see why a thread was pruned? There was decent discussion happening in a topic that was board-related.
OP broke a rule or deleted it themselves.

Usually not, but if you're lucky it might show up on
https://www.4chan.org/bans
archived at
https://bans.4tan.org/
but it seems to be down for now.
You could ask a mod on IRC also, but they might not bother to talk to you about something like that unless it was your thread and you got an unclear ban/warning for it. Sometimes there's no reason; the mods banned the OP for another post, and deleted all his posts indiscriminately.

How do I contact them on the IRC?
Not OP, but I've been wanting to do something for a while and just want to get the green light before I do it since it's kind of the a gray area when it comes to if it breaks the rules or not.
You know, better safe than sorry and all that.

They're the voiced users in the #4chan channel.

I'm not a frequent IRC user outside of downloading anime. What's the right term for that?

Correction: op or half-op

Thanks.
Here's hoping I'll be allowed to do what I'm planning.
