You could ask a mod on IRC also, but they might not bother to talk to you about something like that unless it was your thread and you got an unclear ban/warning for it. Sometimes there's no reason; the mods banned the OP for another post, and deleted all his posts indiscriminately.

Not OP, but I've been wanting to do something for a while and just want to get the green light before I do it since it's kind of the a gray area when it comes to if it breaks the rules or not.
