Why do people go into threads about things they claim to like and start shitposting all over it?

As long as the thread you mentioned is not against the rules, with someone is arguing the legitimacy of the thread's existence (some meta is healthy for appropriate discussion). Well? Can you tell what the two kinds of people mentioned have in common? Neither of them care about the subject, the threads would be better off without them, they're both disruptive and insulting. If you think they're both shitposter trolls who are more interested in replies/attention than the subject and deserve to be banned, you'd be 100% correct!

its a cathartic reaction and putting effort into making quality posts and threads is too difficult so people tend to do the opposite: shitpost and bitch about other posts. even worse now that mobileposting is common
