This reminds me of how certain people on this website tried to use "google" as a substitute for the n-word, in the hopes that the word "google" would somehow become registered as hate speech.
If you don't remember that, that's okay. It failed so catastrophically that they straight up try to pretend it never happened. They pretend their cause is so noble and just but they completely ignore any mention of their failures, because it's so profoundly embarrassing to them.
What you were actually referring to was Operation Re:Nigger where they tried to falsely label many words and pictures. It actually did succeed somewhat. I'm not aware of any Google-bombing attempt doing what you described. If you link me to information about this, I'll be glad to read up on it.

>it failed
it was to show how ridiculous the media or groups were labelling things as being offensive. anyone with a brain can figure out the actual goal of that fiasco.
they were seeing how far they can take it, if it succeeded it was just a bonus.

No, the google thing happened too, because google was lowering results that contained words like nigger. Skype meant kike iirc.
I think renigger was successful in that it made problems for google; note that current captchas, even legacy captchas, are designed to make doing that harder.
OP is a google

It was merely a hypothetical. If certain words were to be banned from use, people would simply start using a different word.
