Assuming /pol/ will never be deleted, how would you make /pol/ a better board?
Step 1) Ban social media
That's it.
>>1513712
This would do a lot of good. Agreed.
Also get rid of the obvious advertising shills. /pol/ gets more youtube spammmers than /tv/.
>>1513712
I wish that would get removed from most boards, social media shit and e-celebs are cancer imo, but it's up to mods at the end of the day, they try to keep a balance of fun/srs bznz and people seem to love those kind of threads and fill them up, so yeah.

bump for meta
Ban mobile IPs
>>1513712
this
and lift GR15 from it
the improvement will happen so fast you'll shit brix
/pol/ is one of those rare boards that would benefit from having MORE generals instead of less
>>1514675
You can't enforce generals though. Sometimes there are 2 at once and nothing happens.
Maybe make it so new IPs have to lurk for a while?
>>1513712
>>1513716
>>1513722
All of these are good ideas too, but this'll eventually pass, this is similar to how /b/ became a bogeyman after getting popular. /pol/'ll probably go back to being mostly libertarian once most of the underage go through college.
Ban all whitey. /pol/ belongs to the melanin enriched
>>1514772
I know you're being sarcastic but this kind of shitposting just reinforces their mentality. /pol/ should be a board that enforces high quality posts. (perhaps a post has to be a certain length)
>>1514762
What if they changed the name?
New people would keep coming to post on /pol/ only to hear /pol/ was deleted while in reality there will still be a politically incorrect board just under another name.
It would take years for the majority of outsiders to catch on and realized /pol/ was never deleted.
>>1513711
delet
>>1513711
Segregate /pol/ users from the rest
i.e. if your IP has posted on /pol/, you can't post on other boards for 30 days
>>1514912
Bait?
Look guys the hero of /qa/ is visiting our thread. How many captchas do you think he'll solve before he gets a bored?
>>1514939
>our
who?
Enforce strict rules and drop all pretense of free speech. Low effort garbage posting (as judged by moderators) should be removed and the posters banned site-wide permanently. Make participating in bad faith explicitly against the rules.
The rules can gradually become less strict as the board is slowly purged of unwanted users. The goal is to change the board's posting culture entirely.
