Is phone browsing the future of web browsing?
No one other than office workers and gamers use a desktop or laptop anymore. Phone has become the primary way of getting information for most people.
Is it possible that all websites will drop support for desktop version of webpages because of this?
No.

This is simply not true.
For casual users that's already the present. You don't need a desktop to update your facebook profile or post a picture of your dinner on twitter.
If you want to create content, however, then it's not very effective.

Content creators are still a minority though. I have seen some websites have already adapted a style that is easier to navigate on a touchscreen rather than mouse and keyboard, even for the desktop version. Websites will be harder and harder for PC users to use.
