Why would you bump a thread you don't like?

Do they also sage threads they like? Do their posts say something other than "sage"?

Because if you're posting in a thread you don't like the odds are 99% of the time you're making a shitpost or an offtopic post.

Therefore you should sage, not because you don't like the thread, but because of the quality of your own post. The whole board doesn't need to see it.
Obviously this happens most often in cases where people don't like a thread, but it's not inherently a negative thing, and if you honestly think about using sage every single time you post you'll quickly realize that there's plenty of times when you make good posts that you should still sage anyway.

Most of the time i choose sage because the board is slow and there's no particular need to bump that thread.

I also however use sage to show my distrspect to OP.
