6 straight days of bot flooding in /vp/ in the early morning that soft resets the board to one page. I'm starting to think there's nothing that can be done about this.

ボットの氾濫の6日間。これを修正するために何かが行われていますか?

Haha funny dogs! What they are called?
Remember Goodra fag did this exact shit back in like 2014 or 2015.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s5vRVmkNMc
Eventually the mods will range ban him. Why it has to be an antagonizingly-slow process before they do it, I don't know.
They probably would have done something if it was possible since spam waves happen on multiple boards, although rarely as fast and effective as the /vp/ one.

Pikachus :^)
>>1443447
I remember Goodra fag, you still can't use his tagline due to the filter. This current guy is pre Slugfucker and had to be smacked by Moot himself.
>>1443451
The reason its fast and effective is because its a bot. That's not to say that manual deletion of the posts isn't working, but waiting for a solution to the "Stop the bot from posting in the first place" is getting a bit worrisome considering it's been 6 days in a row with little change. So its reassuring that there are mods who can clean up the mess, but not really reassuring as there hasn't been much of a peep on keeping the mess from happening in the first place.
bump because /vp/ is a nice board which doesn't deserve this fate
>>1444103
sage because /qa/ is a good board that doesn't deserve this fate
>>1444104
You are the cancer that killed /qa/. Congrats.

Mods could restore the threads from the archive if they wanted to, they just don't give a shit.

This might actually get Hiro's attention for how poorly translated it is.

少なくとも私は「母、私はふりをしています」と言っていません。
And now he's disabling 4chan's report function on /vp/ WHILE he's raiding the board.
I think it's time to bring the feds into this, he's clearly violating the CFAA.

The /vg/ Guild wars 2 thread is spammed by a bot that spams archive posts randomly and its been goign on forever.
>>1444953
Let me put it this way,
If it was just spamming a single thread like in your example, I'd have no issue to complain.
This is someone who is posting individual threads at an insane rate per minutes. You let the bot go for 5 minutes, and the entirely of /vp/ is wiped out. I think the rate will only get faster if something is not done to prevent the actual flooding. With how the system has been working the past week, this means all threads currently up are immediately archived, and /vp/ must repopulate for 24 hours before it happens again. If we could get thread restoration from archives, then that would solve the current issue.
If this board annihilation happened daily on /pol/, /b/, /v/, or /a/, there would be absolute panic and official statements by at least day 2.
This has been happening, every day, for a week, while we are left to drown, to build up our stick houses, just to have them knocked down again the next morning.
And the reaction? Silence, deletion of the flood, and no prevention whatsoever. We cannot speak of it on /vp/, we cannot call out and say "mods save us."
Most of us have simply accepted it is our fate to have our stick houses knocked over every morning, and we have to rebuild every day. This is our life now.
This is why I started this thread, I'm not going to accept this method of current fix and I don't want to wake up one day and see a "404, /vp/ not found."

I miss Goodrafag a bit, his gimmick was entertaining.

I love when people say things like this like 4chan is a place with citizens. Like they literally live in their boards. I think it's cute.
Why doesn't /vp/ just continue the threads in ghost?
>>1445116
some people pretty much do live on their boards, like 18+ hours a day every day
>>1444444
/vp/ wins again.
I hope the spammer gets banned eventualy, I don't get why is it taking them so long.
>>1445291
It's not hard to find new proxies. Nobody competent can ever really be banned.
>>1445054
I'm sorry to hear that anon. I will commiserate with you. I hail from a board completely unlike yours, yet we suffer the same problem. Where did the good mods go?
>>1444444
FOUR SCORE AND SEVEN ANONS AGO
Bui is in the /int*/ discord right now...
welp there goes /v/
>>1446414
Maybe it'll get some attention now that /v/ got nuked.
How I stop botposting. I am confused
>>1446446
force everyone to register accounts just to post
Ban discords sitewide.
>>1443488
The spam has been happening inside gw2 general for MONTHS until the mods gave up. it finally started spilling to the boards
I'm wondering how he is bypassing the captchas
>>1446471
I'm wondering how the mods continue to be so useless about this
>>1446471
you can pay armies of pajeets to solve captchas for you for peanuts.
>>1445116
I've always like to imagine 4chan as one big building with each board being a different floor and each thread being a different room.
>>1446473
What can the mods do? Captcha was put in place to prevent the spam, they can't sit their asses the entire day deleting bot posts. No one would do that.
Maybe it is time for 4chan to have a log in to post at least? This might even be effective to keep people banned. I fear this spam will become worse and worse
>>1446479
in this analogy /qa/ is the top secret underground laboratory where they keep all the failed human experiments locked away
>>1446485
>What can the mods do? Captcha was put in place to prevent the spam, they can't sit their asses the entire day deleting bot posts. No one would do that.
God help they do the job they volunteered for instead of spending all day micromanaging the quality of fetish hentai.
>>1447251
Of course then you'll get faggots like yournamehere bitching about how they have a life. Honestly if you're gonna bitch like that then quit.
It got worse didn't it?
Thread for an ongoing event should stay

Has it happened again?
