Playboy's peak was in the 60's (or was it 70's?) when it had bars and a whole lifestyle fad with it along with Playboy clubs and other stuff. Hell, it played a role in the civil right's movement it's that old.
It already died by the 00's as more and more people learned to use the internet. Hef's obsession with leather bleached blondes with awful boob jobs also helped kill it. Today people have access to far better stuff, like 2D.
