Sounds like a lot of effort...
I'm the drummer, as expected.

How well do you drum anon?
>>1437784
Depends on your criteria. Well enough for the trype of music.
I'm very rusty considering the last gig I played was in 2008 and no longer even own my own set. I went through a rough patch and had to put in on the backburner. I still think about music practically every day.

That's very sad anon, i hope you'll get your own set soon!
On my own the synth i own is a very cheap one and quite old so it lacks basic functionnalities, and it isn't even pressure sensitive so the song i play on it do not sound nearly as smooth and pretty as they should which is very frustrating. There's a piano in a school nearby that i can easily get access to at night but the place is riddled with movement sensors so going in there triggers the alarm ;_;

I kept telling myself I'd learn next year...
I used to play piano but i don't have the space or money to get piano or keyboard right now. Hopefully by the end of this year I'll be able to play again.

Used to play a lot of musical instruments, but it got less interesting as time went on and more of a chore.
Part of it I guess it the desire to become the best started to overcome the desire to have fun.
No, is it supposed to be fun?
I've been told to try various instruments over the years but it all seems so boring.

It doesn't matter if you're bad, as long as you enjoy it.
This advice of course should not apply to any murderous dictator or criminals.

I feel you brother. I've played the violin in an orchestra. I also learnt piano quite well in order to develop a good hearing for the violin. Then 9 years ago I decided to try the guitar and since then I've played nothing but my classical guitar. Sometimes piano, bass and drums. However I find myself in a situation where I can't play it for many reasons and won't be able to for 3 months. I miss it so much. I think about tunes I'd love to make songs out of every moment of the day. I miss having a beer and improvising away for hours at night. I just miss it so much.

Music is just a different type of language. Just like German, mathematics or facial gestures. You can communicate things you wouldn't be able to in an other language. However tha catch is that music is a language with tons of dialects and accents so sometimes you can't understand what others are trying to convey through it. In addition, when two people speak the same language they tend to communicate better, and that happens with music too. And if you can't understand the pleasure of playing an instrument is because you don't know music deep enough: you wouldn't read Italian literature without knowing Italian right? And even if you knew a little bit of it you wouldn't thoroughly understand its beauty. Regardless of my thoughts I miss playing my guitar so much and I'm sure some of you can relate.
Never found the time unfortunately.
