It's never quiet anymore, let alone silent. I remember browsing 4chan during late nights, being content with my life. Now I grit my teeth if I hear as much as a peep. Everyone expects me to get used to this constant blabber and noise, as if it's okay, but I haven't. Despite there being constant background noise now, it ALWAYS sticks out like a sore thumb. I'll try to read Fight Club and in the background there will be characters dying on television. I'll be trying to learn more Japanese or Russian but in the background my sisters are screeching over some social media dribble. I DESERVE this quiet house god damn it, and you know why? Because I am the one studying or reading. I am doing something that is at least challenges me mentally on a most basic level. I AM THE ONE DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE.
