End of 2010/early 2011. To this day I still don't understand what gamergate was and I'm not planning on understating it. Sometimes I browse /pol/ but I don't understand the jargon they came up with, and I'm content with this. Overall I believe the site has undoubtedly gotten worse, both because social media started spilling here and because people in general started taking the internet way too seriously.
