Why is it that every board on this site has threads with people that are like "I hate anime, but..." and then you read their post and realize they actually like anime? I just saw a thread like this on /lit/ of all places.

See these posts OP, same kinda thing as when people have to attach "imo" or "This is just my opinion but..." because they're scared of upsetting the group.
There's probably something to be said about some of the people who are reading those posts too who create that kinda attitude by only thinking in extremes and assuming everything they read is meant to be fact.
