I'd make it so post links change color when the person you responded to responds back.

I don't know if there are other consequences but my reason for thinking this is I wonder if it would help people to ignore things more.
Because as it stands bait usually gets replies, and if it's bait that was directed at you, you could choose to ignore it (so it won't change their link color) and everyone would know that at least you didn't take the bait.

It would almost be like not changing the link color of someone baiting you is a bigger insult than anything you could say otherwise. So more people would ignore things which would be awesome.

But it's so comfortable browsing 4chan in bed, which is what I'm doing right now. It's much easier using my tablet than hauling out the laptop. One thing you could do instead is introduce a minimum character limit. Phoneposters tend to make short and simply-worded posts because it's too much of a hassle to type up something meaningful on their phones while in class or at work.

People who dump images wouldn't like this though so personally I wouldn't implement it.

Justified text, I find that format easier to read than a long sentence stretched out to the right.
Maybe the ability to post multiple images and put them in the text, not beside/above the text.
