ok so for the first 2 years, /jp/ had no moderation, just a meido that deleted cp/spam (and back in the day, the board would get spammed with cp often)
this resulted in a hilarious board culture full of retarded tripfaggotry, hating/bombing japan, and heavy irony, dumb joke threads, and neetblogging
then /jp/ got a mod, but he knew nothing about 2hu so you could still post whatever as long as it had a 2hu image, and some point in here /jp/ became full of ironic posting about your first gay sex experiences

then /jp/ got a real janny and no fun was allowed (seriously though, /jp/'s jannys are some of the worst idealogue enforcers I've ever seen online), this made spin-offs gain speed with the most popular one being
