Smells like another bot filter

The connection errors happen because the extra verification page isn't sending the correct CORS header, which prevents Javascript on boards.4chan.org from reading the response. Otherwise the verification would show up in the error message.

Depending on a site's security settings, cloudflare can attempt to guess which users are more likely to be bots and show them a verification page.
What exactly triggers this is obviously not documented, but common spam text in forms is likely to do it.
