Should image-editing skill be essential on 4chan?
>>1166208
No, knowledge of popular anime characters should be though
>>1166209
If so how to promote the creation of OC?
Another reason why phoneposters ruined this place.
>>1166768
The issue is that people don't know what to do.
Unless you give a clear intent and a reason for people to respond a thread won't get off the ground. I guess instructions on what to do are nice as well.
After that you have to realise OC takes time.
We could be like /a/ or /tv/ and use ""meme generators"" like the image distorter or the 'I am Major' thing, but that wouldn't be organic.
I'm okay at image manipulation but I don't really have much ideas of what to make.
>>1166768
Recursion is meta. Do you like circles?
>>1167275
Use the same tactic of getting replies on big boards and a guidance of what to create might help.
More importantly, just brainstorm and create more until someone catches on.
>>1166217
Simple things that are fun to participate in can get people to join. Recently had a tic tac toe game on /b/ that turned into pic related

Not long ago I saw a troll thread on my regional imageboard in which is a delicately crafted card game that one player will always win, but at first sight the result seemed to be the opposite. The OP played that game with every challengers and OP always won.
How far has trolling fallen?
>>1167886
That's great lol

>>1166209
you need to be able to make some kind of OC or else the site will devolve into text and 3 images
>>1166208
I don't get what does that anime girl has to do with the text
>>1167886
Would you be willing to explain the cardgame or link the thread if possible?
Absolutely.
Although skill isn't really important. What matters is that users should have the means to create or modify content.
Everyone should have some sort of image editing software installed and should at least be familiar with the basics.

That is a game that players need to draw cards as quickly as possible and the first one who draws all cards wins. Certain combinations make drawing faster and players can only draw when his combination is ''larger'' than the previous player, otherwise he has to pass the turn.
The remaining cards in that thread are designed so that one specific player always wins.
And that website is not in English, plus I forgot the link.

moe-tan is evolving into something beyond our contaiment
>>1166208
SA users are professionals at image editing. but their wit is shit. so they go nowhere
That sounds like what /i/ tried to be.
>>1169398
You have your own interpretation.
ITT:
>we remember moot's canv.as

The spirit of a picture can be conveyed even only using the simplest tool though.
A more serious problem is that some people are not willing to use these advanced tools because they do not want to create anything in the first place.
>>1170260
I don't know how
It's not like editing images to 4chan meme standards takes more than an afternoon of learning gimp or paint.net or whatever.
>>1175471
It's not like anyone would take more than an afternoon of learning gimp or paint.net or whatever.
>>1175471
you literally could watch tutorials dude
I learned video editing that way
>>1176727
Yeah there's a wealth of information out there if anyone does something as simple as a good search.
>>1169391
There's no problem with that, I prefer a good discussion over good images.

Go annoy Hiro for text boards then

When you see a post that was clearly made from a mobile telephone, do not respond to it.
Instead, report then hide the post.
9001 hours in paint = retarded shit that people download and post themselves
