This has been going on for so long. Years. When I first started coming to the thread, I assumed it was just some drama that I wasn't a part of and didn't know about. But after being around for over a year, never having seen hide nor hair of the people being talked about. I tend to agree it is just a few (or even one) people with mental problems.

Is posting on /qa/ or the IRC the proper way to report the spammer? I've used the report feature before and sometimes the janitors would delete the spam but once I got a warning for reporting it instead.
