Photographer here, in actuality taking pictures if a lot faster than scanning since it's done in an instant instead of a slow line by line scan.

What the swede should do is set the papers on a flat surface, in the same spot, (make corner marks) Light the paper with even lighting, maybe two tabletop lamps from two directions to avoid glare/reflection/shadow
set up the camera/phone in a stable position above the paper with some nigger rig, then just start placing the paper and take a picture rinse repeat., it's important for the paper to be on a flat surface and the camera to be parallel to it to keep the flat paper surface within the depth of field to keep it in focus.
