You're a man.

There are a lot more male knitters than you'd think. It's 100% math. Men actually make much more complicated patterns than women typically do. Hell, for a long time it was a male-only deal.

My mother owns a knitting store. I've been surrounded by that shit since I was a baby.

Knitting machines are pretty cool. Especially the electronic ones that you can program to make illustrations using various differently coloured yarns.

Illustration student here. Well done, we all start somewhere. Very few artists are naturally born with the talent. The majority of masters went through years of training to get where they are.

Don't limit yourself to one medium. Try acrylics, watercolours or inks. There often less forgiving but you can learn a lot from them.

Also if you don't draw, take up drawing, painting is an extension of drawing.

I'm glad to see another artists here on /pol/. Keep it up.

But no, i was born with an actual working vagina.

I really want and need a yarn baller. I've been working on knitting with beads. Its pretty cool desu.

I haven't seen knitting machines, but i feel like it woud take the fun out of it a bit. I want to pick up crichetung next, which is funny for me because most people learn crochet and then knitting, as knitting is harder than crocheting.

I wouldn't say its math though, at least not hard. Literally just counting and keeping track of the stitches.

I take single-stranded DNA fragments that are attached beads, I then compartmentalize these beads into water-oil emulsion droplets. Via milloins of microreactors that are formed I can preform individual PCRs on a massive scale to produces amplified copies of the original single DNA template.

People who crochet are usually rather... weird. It attracts a different crowd.

Knitting machines make it easier to have consistent tension throughout the piece. You can also put together something the size of a shawl in under an hour with ribbing and everything. There are also circular knitting machines which are just fascinating. I'm really into mechanical shit, so that stuff is fucking cool to me.

>>
>>91876573

Awesome. I'm glad to hear your checking out the old masters works. Look at other dutch golden age painters and baroque artists as well. Look at their life drawings and studies as well if you can, you learn a lot from how they put the painting together.

When I go to a gallery and see their stuff it blows my mind, not only did they do this several hundred years ago they did it with a FAR smaller palette of colours then we have today. It's like magic.

I love looking at the old masters. I am lucky enough to live in Derby in England, which is home to the Joseph Wright (English enlightenment) gallery and museum, it has so many wonderful paintings with so much detail, you can just stand infront of them in awe for long periods of time, I used to do that when I was a child but now I have started painting I am in even more amazment. My dad also does oil painting so I have grown up with them hanging all over the house, and I can go to him for advice on things which is great.

Not trying to insult you, but that's like saying that knowing how to program your DVR means you are a programmer.
It's a markup language. It describes how something looks. There is no programming involved.

Anyway, I would suggest you go balls deep and try some assembler. No need to do anything complicated - Just do a bit to get an idea of it.
It's an experience that will forever help you with programming.

>>
>>91878613
Assembler is machine code but with words.

It's as basic as a programming language gets.

You have to do everything manually. There are no loops, there are no variables.
There are only memory addresses and conditional jumps.

You can download Atmel Studio and just emulate one of the less complicated microcontrollers. To see which commands a controller supports, you need to read its data sheet.

It really makes you appreciate all of the conveniences of modern programming and allows you to more easily wrap your head around all of the concepts used in high level languages.

The most important thing, though, is that you motivate yourself with projects. The most shit gets done when there's a tangible use for something.
Like, dry-programming in Assembler is good for learning. But if that's not enough for you, you can buy an Arduino for 10 bucks from China and then write your own christmas light controls or something.

When explaining it to normies, I describe it as group writing. You have one guy who has a basic outline of a story and then other people who play out characters in the story. There's a ruleset so no one ends up being so powerful or perfect that they end up seeming like a Mary Sue.

Adventure Time is actually written via P&P RPG.

I'm an HVAC tech, surprisingly complicated on the service end even though you're really just dealing with heat exchange devices. Airflow is actually fairly poorly understood by a lot of techs so designing duct systems is fun and usually pretty math heavy, refrigeration circuit issues are easy once you actually understand sh/sc though I still hate txv and eev issues, low voltage issues tend just to be switching issues but are very time consuming to resolve, also fuck zone systems.

i am sort of envious of people who strive to make a living out of their artfag skills, and i wish you bros the best

>>91883993
don't do that
there must always be a form of balance in the world.
light and dark, hot and cold, yin and yang, day and night, white men and niggers.
if you wipe out niggers, the balance of the world will be rekt.
instead, we should design a drug to shift all the googles and skittles back where they came from. they have to exist, because if they don't, by philosophy of nature a new shitty race will arise, but if you let them live and shove them in an IRL containment island it'll be okay

If you wanna get better you should practice by painting from life, painting from a photo is like cheating because the camera already converted from 3d to 2d for you. By painting from life you learn to convert to 3d to 2d by yourself and getting the colors and values are harder, that's how you improve.
