I'm an actual martial arts master and I'll just drop a word of advice. unless you've been trained in an elite disarming weapon course like systema or a military martial art do not try to disarm a knife or sharp object weilding opponent. hug your body as close to them as you can and strike at their face and knees if you can hit them. if you are pressed tightly up against your attacker they will have much less mobility with their swinging arm and will only mildly cut you. knife disarms dont work the way they do on youtube and in movies in real life, so make sure you know that if a jihadi ever comes at you.

Also be sure to block with the OUTSIDE of your arms and hands! Slices to those areas will not hit the muscles and tendons you need for grabbing and pulling.
