These educational programs however must fit their purpose, instead of relying on utterly archaic definitions of education, effort should be spent equipping the next generation on how to read and write, pay taxes, how to budget, how to obtain a job, how to vote, how to drive, history, rule of law, how to be a functioning member of society. Colleges should be a secondary schooling and not required for every job under the sun as it is currently due to over-saturation of schools. However all of these things are difficult to implement, so a temporary solution to ensure all have equal opportunity is to subsidize college, but only for certain majors (i.e. the majors which will actually lead people to getting JOBS, STEM field + business)

Yes. but it should be way harder to go. We don't need 65.5 percent of kids going to 4 year, 25k+ universities (or 50k if private). like 30% of labor in american is unskilled, certificate/expedited programs and apprenticeships should be valued more for business students and the like.

tax payers shouldn't pay for fucking art schools, they should only pay if we start only sending the best and only sending them into fields that will make quality of life in the country go up. thats a good investment. some asshole with no ambition to do anything but still wants to be special can go to pratt for 50k+ a year can fuuuuuck off with tha free college bullshit.
