A lot of them are obese social rejects who don't care about humans.

Also half of /g/ has been taken over by /v/.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

No one on /g/ likes smartphones or (((consumer grade))) technology you newfags.
The whole "botnet" meme is about any technology that has backdoors or isn't open source.
/g/ is way more obsessed with freedom and avoiding (((telemetry))) and surveillance than anyone here is.

Arguably the worst untermensch on this website and that isn't hyperbole. And I'm not even counting the /v/irgins that take up half of /g/ to argue about their vidya cards.

There is virtually no CS talent on that board and don't let them meme you into thinking otherwise, it is literally a collection of the worst species of weeb on 4chan tinkering with their anime linux desktops and resubbing hentai webms to have programming lingo in between solving fizzbuzz the 40th time in assembly and imagining that's what programming is. Even the 5% of them that have any real ability are still completely unemployable but blame webdevs and Pajeets for taking their jobs even though any modern workplace would fire them before lunchtime.

>>140525602
The botnet meme is, like every other /g/ meme including this >>140518956, a pathetic board-wide LARP as if "non-free Javascript" means jack shit in 2017.

I'm sure there are many tech professionals who go on 4chan but absolutely none of them go on /g/. Unless they are actually working for the intelligence community, lmao

Sure, /g/ has its fair share of untalented neets but then so does this board.
It's just that you can't tell as easily because political ignorance doesn't make you unemployable.
/g/ is still full of people who genuinely love technology though, rather than most other "technology" communities where everyone just jacks off to the latest consumer tech and shills for free.
