Check what countries were the most socialist ones back in the 80's and how they compare to the rest of Europe.

They aren't. Why do you think they are so desperate to bring in more people. Most of Europe is reaching the point where there will not be enough workers to continue their socialist states, Greece has already hit that point.

Among the many branches of Socialism, even those which precede Karl Marx, there's always the idea of collective ownership of the means of production. Europe doesn't promote collective ownership, they just tax the fuck out of the bourgeoisie, harvesting the money obtained through "oppression" and use it to promote their own agenda, which you consider to be successful.
It's OK if you like, but it's not at all Socialism. It's actually closer to Fascism.
