I was visiting my grandmother who's in her 90s the other day, and looked through a bunch of old photo albums with pictures going all the way back to her grandparents.
As a people and a society, there really is something we've lost here in the western world. The sense of trust, the strong communities, the large families and the ability to socialize like human beings. Even the aesthetics have gone down the toilet, further alienating the people from their surroundings.

Thankfully, this hasn't degraded as far in Norway as it has in other countries, and you can still get a sense of the world as it was, particularly outside the major cities.
