The same reason Europe got powerful in the first place. It was competition. The English hated the French, The English hated the Germans, the English hated the Scottish, in fact the English hated a lot of people.

There was a lot of political tension and long-standing grudges between all of West and central Europe. It was the case since the middle ages. This meant these countries were always trying to outdo each other in economy, military, invention, innovation, population, colonization, it was all to get an edge over France, or whoever else.

You can see the same thing in a different form in East Asia nowadays. The Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, and Taiwanese have similar long-standing cultural and political disagreements. Surprise surprise, there's also doing amazingly economically.

A United States of Europe inherently spits in the face of what made Europe such a powerhouse in the first place. Sure, uniting some of the most powerful economies in the world at the time will make good competition with the US and China, but in the long run, it will do more damage than good to Europe.

Because cultures are wildly different between the existing countries. Some of them still hate eachother, so it'd be like making two angry toddlers sit together.

EU is run by the Jews. Europe needs more individual freedoms. More government is not a solution to anything happening in Europe now. Good policies are needed, EU pathetically tries to enforce bad policies.
