Yes we do. And this democracy does not care at all about its citizens. It is a system without accountability or transparency. It rewards mediocrity and corruption.

Feudalism wasn't such a bad system. King has underlings to keep him in check(or get killed off). His underlings have to deal with underlings- and will also get killed by them if he fucks up too much. Right down to the peasants. People could and did rise up to kill the lord if they sucked enough. The system was around for a long time, so it wasn't really that bad. After a certain scale I think it breaks down, but that's pretty true of many large organizations of humans.
