When I was a kid it was music television and they played music videos. Late at night there was liquid television and shit like aeon flux and the maxx and head were on. Also commercials used to run for about 60 seconds then 1.5 minutes and at some point there were more commercials than actual tv show. When I was a kid cable didnt have much commercials because you paid money for it unlike the froob plebeians and we didnt want to see that shit. Tv is shit now. Complete trash and idiots pay 100s a year to watch commercials and pay for each extra channel.
