I found that most progressives in that city were smug urbanite hipsters who listened to EDM, and had nothing in common with me. My redpill moment was hearing Anthony Fantano do a podcast with Sargon of Akkad. I knew Anthony was a thoughtful person. Up until that point, I had heard of Sargon, but dismissed him as not being very thoughtful. I started considering his position, and it was all downhill from there.

Now I am conservative/traditionalist. My opinions have changed so rapidly, I am constantly questioning them. My belief right now is that western civilization will collapse, and traditionalism is the only thing that will be able to rebuild when it does. If there is no collapse, maybe I will revert to being a hippie when I am old.
